GH2017.89 The Sun also Rises

Well we're running into that old problem of time zones again... so just
willingly suspend your disbelief, please.

Port Charles Hotel bright and early in the morning. Georgie lets
herself into Dimitri's room. Quickly she scans the room but he is not
evident. Then she hears the sound of a shower running and a rich
baritone beginning to sing in the shower with a few hums thrown in when
he forgets the words. Kicking off her shoes and taking off her jacket,
Georgie walks to the bathroom and opens the door. Feeling a draft,
Dimitri looks over at the doorway to where Georgie stands.
Georgie: Need someone to wash your back?
Dimitri: You're wearing too many clothes. You might get wet.
Georgie: Not a problem, I don't melt. (She reaches for the edge of her
t-shirt pulling it smoothly over her head then starts shimmying out of
her jeans.) Save me some hot water.
Dimitri: Oh I think there'll be plenty of heat. How did you get in
this time?
Georgie: Walked in the front door . I tell you, You should can that
guy. He didn't stop me or anything. He barely looked up from his
paper. It's a disgrace.
Dimitri: I told him last night that you might be stopping by. But I
thought perhaps around midnight when you got off work?
Georgie: (Opening the glass door to the shower and sliding in front of
Dimitri to stand in the stinging spray of the shower that instantly wets
her hair down around her face) I had to get back to Jerry's. I knew
that I was going to see you this morning when we went to talk to Lu.
Dimitri: Yes, but if you had stayed over then you wouldn't have had to
bother with getting dressed just to come over here to take a shower.
Georgie: (working to distract him) I didn't just come over here for
JUST a shower. (she moves in closer peppering his chest with kisses
before reaching up to his head and pulling his face down to her.
Reaching behind Dimitri, she grabs the soap and washrag then when she
comes up for air) Now turn around and I'll scrub your back.
Dimitri: (Turning around so that his back is exposed to her.) I don't
know if this is wise. I've never turned my back on a cop before.
Georgie: (Drawing designs in the suds along the lean muscled back, she
gently scratches down the length of his back.) I'm sure there are lots
of things you'll do with me that you've never done before. Now... up
against the wall and spread 'em.

Cassadine Island. A small private plane circles the island.
Mark: These are the right coordinates but who knows if it's the
Cassadine island. The damn sea is lousy with islands and anything
bigger than a rock has a house on it.
Serena: Piece of Cake. Aren't you glad you're with me? ( with that
she flips on a switch and a vid screen in front of Mark is activated.)
Mark: What is this little toy?
Serena: The plane is fitted with cameras. They have zoom on them. It
comes in handy for work, or near collisions, or catching people poaching
ducks on my mom's game refuge. She gets really tense about that. You
know what they say..."a picture is worth a thousand words." You can
control the zoom from your side.
Mark: So you're filming all this?
Serena: Nah-- but I can snap pictures as needed. I'm going to go by
that house on the bluffs again.
Mark: Go for it. But we aren't exactly inconspicuous here.
Serena: What are they going to do-- blow us out of the air?
Mark: (grimacing) I hate questions like that. (As the plane flies by
the white house on the bluff Mark sees a familiar figure waving at him
from the ground.) There she is!
Serena: (snapping pictures in rapid succession.) Great now we know
we're at the right place. Time for my interview. We flew over a runway
while we were surveying the island. ETA about 10 minutes to ground.
(banking the plane around Serena smoothly angles the plane to the runway
that she'd seen on the interior of the island.) Do you think that
they'll send out a welcoming party?
Mark: (grimly) That's what I'm afraid of. You have any weapons on the
plane?
Serena: (laughing briefly before noting his grim expression) You aren't
kidding. Come on, Mark! She's with Nik Cassadine for goodness sake, the
guy that funds all that medical research and does good deeds around the
world. Just because he doesn't like having his picture taken doesn't
make him some creep. (under her breath) But it sure makes my job
harder.
Mark: She's with a man who makes his own rules. And if you'll
remember-- there weren't any planes on the ground when we went over that
runway. Cassadine may have no intention of letting her off the island.
I just need to find out if she is okay with that. If not... It could
get messy.
Serena: (glancing again at his rock hard countenance) Man, I'm glad you
are on my team. There's the runway. Please extinguish all smoking
materials and return your seat and tray table to it's upright position.
The pilot has put on the seatbelt light in anticipation of our descent.
Thank you for flying Baldwin Air.
Mark:(sarcastically) Ha Ha. Do you have any weapons on board?
Serena: (focusing on her landing) There's a loaded 45 in the first aid
kit as well as a flare gun. They're both stowed right behind the seats.
Mark: (grunting) Good. Serena? Is that truck suppose to be there?
Serena: (frowning) No. It's not and it wasn't there when we went by
before. The people are still in it. They'll move. (The plane draws
closer and the men get out of the truck with automatic weapons that are
pointed at the plane.)
Mark: SONOFABITCH-- PULL UP! PULL UP! (Serena halts her descent and
pulls back on the stick to bring the plane's nose back up and abruptly
starts to climb away from the island and bank away from the runway.
Automatically her finger goes to the camera and shots of the runway and
the shooters are preserved for posterity.)
Serena:(grimly) I guess you were right. That wasn't exactly the
welcoming party I was hoping for. Would they really have fired on us?
Mark: Not would have, babe-- they did. Get this thing on the ground
at the nearest populated island. We need to know if they hit anything
vital then I'm going back-- by boat if I have to. This is bull!

In a room over Kelly's restaurant, Lucky Spencer is sprawled on the bed
face down. As soon as his body realized that Emily had left the bed he
sprawled across the whole bed diagonally. Emily semidressed in a short
satin robe that is loosely belted gently wafts a cup of coffee beneath
Lucky's nose.
Lucky: (grinding his head in the pillow but making a sniffing noise; he
groans) I smell coffee.
Emily: And breakfast but I thought you might need to start with this.
(again she wafts the coffee past the barely awake Luckster.)
Lucky: I'm awake; I'm awake. Hand it over, woman!
Emily: Oh I love it when you go all Neanderthal. (she hold the coffee
just out of Lucky's reach. Until finally he rolls over and sits up. At
the last possible moment his eyes slowly open.)
Lucky: Expecting civilized conversation when the sun is still on the
rise and there's not been a coffee transfusion is cruel and unusual.
Emily: See! You're using those 75 cent words already. Maybe you don't
need this after all?
Lucky: Give it up, Babe! You haven't seen Neanderthal yet!
Emily: Are you going to drag me off to your cave?
Lucky: Nah, but I might throw you over my shoulder and into a nice cold
shower. Nothing wakes me like a cold shower. Especially watching
someone else take it.
Emily: (handing over the coffee) OK, that's too big a threat to me.
Here. I hope you still take it the same. I left out the bourbon--
figured it's still too darn early in the AM.
Lucky: (takes the cup gratefully and closing his eyes takes the first
sip. Taking another, he sighs and then opens his eyes to look at the
woman kneeling on the bed next to him. Her brown hair falls down her
back, and the deep, dark fushia satin robe gaps in interesting places.)
I feel better than I have in years. Even considering the unreasonable
hour, I think I could kick ass on the world. Come here. You don't have
to be to work for hours yet.
Emily: (leaning back a little) Hold that thought. Lucky, I have to get
home and see the dogs. What they do to the furniture and my shoes is
appalling if they don't their attention. Now that I'm in the main house
who knows what mischief they could get into.
Lucky: I know what mischief I'll get into if you don't come here.
(setting down the coffee on the bedside table he grabs Emily by the
waist and pulls her onto his lap.) Come on. Can't the dogs wait for
another hour? You know that Reggie will walk them for you. All they
need is some lovin'. We can take our time. And I'll help you with the
dogs when we get over there.
Emily: (straddling his lap and framing his face with her hands she
leans in close to give him a deep lingering kiss. Her voice husky.)
Sounds like a plan. What plan are we up to?
Lucky: G-- for Good God Woman, come here and finish what you started.
(Emily begins to giggle but it's quickly cut off as Lucky pulls her
close into another kiss.)

The launch on the way to Wyndemere, Dimitri and Georgie sit next to each
other holding hands. His bodyguards have been left at the dock and the
security is being handled by the Cassadine from this point until they
leave Spoon Island.
Georgie: (Nuzzling by his ear) You'd better give me your gun. They're
used to me carrying but you-- they'll search and detain.
Dimitri: Even if I'm with you?
Georgie: Oh the Cassadine know better than most that thinking isn't a
priority when you're in ...lust. That's when they do most of their
butting in. 'Cause they don't figure you are looking out for yourself.
Dimitri: (doing his own nuzzling against the hand that he has brought to
her lips. His gaze captures hers.) Lust. An earthy word. Are you
feeling sinful?
Georgie: More so every minute. Dimitri, I'm serious though... if you
have a weapon on you, give it to me now before the launch lands.
Dimitri: I read the papers, Georgie, and you have pointed out the news
to me often enough. it's in the car already. There won't be a
problem. Who will be here?
Georgie: (shrugging) I don't know. Probably everybody, I think Nik is
out of town which is good 'cause lately all we do is fight. I don't
think that Jerry will be there. He was out late with Stefan last night
playing chess; he'll probably be sleeping in. Or (she grins at him)
his daughter Cari might have dragged him out car shopping; she's getting
impatient. Even though Lucky and Mike, the owners of the club have
promised her a car. She is particular though she wants nothing but a
Cadillac.
Dimitri:(with a widening grin) A Cadillac?! Isn't that a bit much for
a first car?
Georgie: (nodding) Yeah, but it's what she learned on. She's addicted
to them now. You remember the accident that the Russians got caught in
where they were squeezed between an antique pink cadillac and a wall?
That was Cari driving... just a bit before she took her driver's test.
Dimitri: Those men were trained drivers! Trained operatives.
Georgie: Maybe, but they weren't trained by Lucky Spencer. Cari was,
as was I. And they weren't driving a Cadillac the size of a Sherman
tank. I can't blame her for wanting a Caddy. After an incident like
that you want something big and strong around you.
Dimitri: (Putting an arm around Georgie) Sometimes we all do.
Georgie: (teasing) Don't worry I'll protect you. You really have to get
over this Cassadine phobia. I've been hanging out here since I was
what....seven? Being best friends with Lu it was bound to happen:
sleepovers, the rest. Stefan is the only one I could practice my
Russian on for the longest time and he liked doing it because it was an
excuse to hear the language that he grew up with. But he doesn't know
about the other languages I speak.
Dimitri: What? Russian and English aren't enough?
Georgie: Well I sort of have this ear that make the languages easy. I
speak Chinese, Russian, Spanish, French and Arabic. It's come in handy
at the hospital. I can get by in a few others as long as I have a
dictionary close by.
Dimitri: Sergei would have held out from the police or DA but a
beautiful blonde seducing him with his own language. It's very
appealing.
Georgie: There will be nothing to appeal about it. I wasn't trying to
seduce the guy.
Dimitri: You voice alone is like that of a siren luring men in.
Georgie: And you are full of it. I just gave him some good advice.
You know how I like everyone to be happy.
Dimitri: You are a strange girl.
Georgie: I think that's been well established. (Dimitri and Georgie
are cleared through security. the reach the front door which is answered
by Lu.)
Lu: Just in time! You have your choice we could go into the breakfast
room and have some of the buffet or head up directly to my workroom.
Georgie: ( Dimitri looks at her firmly) I think the workroom first.
Lets give Dimitri as much time as possible before throwing him to the
sharks.
Lu: Daddy would tell you that it is a Cassadine rite of passage. One
he started when he through Alexis in... swimming with sharks that is.
Georgie: Insanity pure and simple. I wouldn't let that story get out
it will confirm everything that everyone says about the Cassadine. You
know why sharks don't attack lawyers?

GH2017.90 It Hits the Fan

Wyndemere, a fortress prepared for siege. Nikolas has just returned from
leaving Brooke in Greece. Nikolas goes directly into the video security
room where Stefan monitors the security of not only the island but also
of The Warehouse.
Stefan: Where is Brooke?
Nikolas: I took her to Greece. She'll be staying at the compound
there.
Stefan: (surprised) Why?
Nikolas: She refuses to take the situation seriously.
Stefan: Tell me everything.
Nikolas: (Retells what has happened in the last day not hearing his
mother come into the room) . . . so the terrorists have evidently found
out about the child. She will be safe on the island. I am planning to
move Staci there as well. The guards there are loyal to the Cassadine
and have been for generations.
Laura: (voice tight) So they will keep Brooke and Staci in even as they
keep the intruders out, right?
Nikolas: Exactly.
Laura: (her face and voice strained as her hands clasp the back of a
chair with a white knuckled grip. ) Stefan, Do you agree with this?
Stefan: (reassuringly) Lasha, she carries our grandchild. She has to be
safe.
Laura: Nik doesn't believe the child is his.
Nikolas: It's mine; they both are.
Laura: (her voice rising shrilly) Because now you say so! (She steps
back from the chair her hands falling to her sides. Straightening, she
takes a deep breath.) I'm sorry. When are you planning on sending Staci
to the compound?
Nikolas: I think at first light.
Laura: Then I should help her pack. (Turning abruptly, she leaves the
room)

Once upstairs, Laura grabs an ancient carpet bag and begins to place
garments and momentos into it. Her movements are hurried, her breathing
uneven as she sobs. Lu walking past after walking Georgie and Dimitri
to the launch notices her mother's odd behavior.
Lu: Mama, what's wrong? What are you doing?
Laura:(through her tears) Nik is planning on sending Staci to Greece in
the morning.
Lu: (confused) Okay. He told us this might be a possibility ever since
Lucky told him and Daddy that the Cassadine guards there are more loyal
than the ones here.
Laura: That is why Brooke is already there. Because Nik knows that
they won't let her leave without his orders.
Lu: (Shocked) But Mom! that's kidnaping?!
Laura: (losing it again she yells) DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT? DON'T
YOU THINK I KNOW? (Falling to her knees, she begins to sob.) It's
happening all over again. Nothing ever changes. Stefan approved it;
how could he approve it? He knows what it was like for me to be on that
island pregnant and unable to leave.
Lu: (her jaw dropping in shock) Brooke is pregnant?
Laura: (bitterly) Brooke is nothing to them but the incubator of the
future Cassadine. I have to get Staci out of here.
Lu: I'll go pack.
Laura: NO! I need you here, baby. You and Lucky can't be involved in
this. God-- it would start the feud all over again. I love them all,
you know. They drive me to distraction but I love them and so do you.
Lu: Mom, you'll need me. Staci can't drive. I know she's smart but she
doesn't know how to do this. You have to take either me or Lucky. The
threat is real. You need some kind of protection.
Laura: Baby, you don't know how to do this any better than Staci does.
And taking Lucky would tear the family apart beyond repair.
Lu:(hopeful) You mean it's not? Beyond repair, I mean.
Laura: I don't know. I don't know anything anymore.
Lu: What about Kris? He won't be that fast because of his ribs but he
would be another driver and someone who can handle a gun if necessary.
Plus he has seen *Anya's* fake papers . . . all of them.
Laura: (negatively) He's on the Cassadine payroll.
Lu: Mom, I've seen them together. Cassadine Enterprises may sign his
checks but his loyalty is with Staci-- especially after what happened.
Don't discount him.
Laura: Fine, I'll talk to him; you get Staci packed.
Lu: What do I tell her?
Laura: Tell her the truth. She can either go on the road or she can go
to Greece until this whole thing is over. If I don't give her a choice
then I'm no different from Nik or Stefan.

Kris's room. He lies on the bed reading. He's wearing sweat pants but
no shirt and his ribs are bandaged. The white strips are striking
against his tanned chest. He starts to rise as Laura enters.
Laura: No, don't get up. I just wanted to ask you a simple question.
How do you feel about my granddaughter? (Walking over to his bedside
table, she sees the pain medication for his ribs as well as the
antibiotic for the bullet wound. Picking them up, she casually reads
the labels.)
Kris: (Bewildered by Laura's uncharacteristic behavior) I think Staci is
a very sweet girl, Mrs. Cassadine.
Laura: How would you like to see her caged like an animal in a zoo? Oh
it's a very nice zoo. One of those that have a natural looking habitats
and animals can do everything but leave. If you try to leave then you
are kept in stricter quarters and the only people seen are your
handlers. But they don't speak the same language as you do; so you
have as little say in your life as the animals in the zoo.
Kris: (beginning to rise) What are you talking about? Who is going to do
that to Staci?
Laura: (warningly as she pulls a firearm from behind her back and aims
it at him) I told you not to get up. You can answer me from right
there.
Kris: (growing frustrated) No, I don't want her in a zoo. Now what are
you talking about and why are you holding that damn thing on me?
Laura: Don't underestimate me, Kris. I'm afraid I'm quite overset
today. You wouldn't be the first person I've shot in my life. (Just
then Lu and Staci enter the room)
Staci: Why is Daddy sending me to Greece?
Laura: There's your answer, Kris. Staci, do you want to go to Greece?
Staci: No. But what choice do I have?
Laura: I'm leaving. I need a break from all this. I was thinking of
seeing America until all these terrorists are in custody. My husband
told me that either all the targets stay here or they scatter where no
one can find them. I've lived in the Cassadine's Greek compound before,
Kris and it's just as I described it to you. Staci, you're welcome to
go with me. But you have to decide now.
Staci:(decisively) I'm with you, Grandmother.
Kris: Why are you telling me all this?
Laura: Because you also have a choice. Stay here or go with us. If
you go with us then you have to swear your loyalty to my granddaughter
and only to her. Not to the Cassadine. If she leaves then she has to
stay gone until the threat is over. Do you understand me? All of the
threats . . . from whatever the source.
Kris: You want me to protect her from her father and your husband?
Laura: As necessary.
Kris: You've never struck me as a lunatic before now.
Laura: Like I said, it's been a bad day. Are you in or out?
Lu: Kris, With or without you, they're going. I'd go with them but Mom
says that would restart the war between the Spencers and the Cassadine.
And the Cassadines are going to have their hands full already not only
with the terrorists but also with Brooke's family once they find out
that she's already at the Greek compound.
Kris: WHAT? BROOKE ASHTON! (Looking around at the three women, he sees
that this is not a game to them He looks the longest time at Staci's
entreating face.) I'm in.
Laura: Swear. (He starts to speak) No, not to me. To Staci.
Kris: (To Staci) I'll protect you with my life . . . from all threats.
Laura: (flipping the firearm around she offers it butt first to Kris)
Let's get going. We're on a clock here. Staci and Kris, one duffle
each. Lu, help Kris pack. Kris, there is a round in the chamber so be
careful with that. Meet in Staci's room in fifteen minutes. (She and
Staci leave. Lu and Kris remain)
Kris: Is your mother all right?
Lu: (Her brown eyes welling with unshed tears) No, she had her heart
ripped out about an hour ago and she's bleeding. But Kris, she is doing
what she believes and she would never put Staci in harm's way. Don't
confuse her with some hot house flower. She can take care of herself
AND you if she needs to.
Kris: If you believe her so strongly, why aren't you going?
Lu: If I went or Lucky for that matter, someone my mother cares about
will die.
Kris: You can't know that.
Lu: I do. I was the beginning of the end of the feud. Saving my life
brought the Spencers and The Cassadine together. But it didn't stop the
death of my father, my great-aunt. The deaths of dear friends of the
family. Do you want me to go on? That's just on the Spencer side.
Kris: I've heard enough. Why did Laura insist on my swearing to Staci?
Lu: After she's confident that you know what you are doing, she'll
leave you and Staci.
Kris: That's crazy!
Lu: No, it's what Stefan said the best chance was-- splitting up.
(Kris is surprised to hear her call Stefan by name. It's a first)
Kris: This is killing you; isn't it?
Lu: If Staci had chosen to go to Greece, I'd still be losing my mother
today. We don't have time for this. (Grabbing a duffle from the top of
the closet, she packs as if from some mental script automatically
selecting the items that Kris would have taken. Turning around, she
sees him painfully ease a sweatshirt over his head. Moving to the bed,
she helps him with the shirt and then kneeling at his feet puts on his
running shoes.)
Kris: (ruefully) Some help I'll be. I can hardly move.
Lu: (looking up at him and grinning for the first time) I don't think
she is going to make you walk far but that reminds me. (Taking the
prescription bottles she rips the labels off.) You can't be Kris
Windsor anymore. Come with me. (Lu picks up the duffle and leads Kris
to her room. Pulling a shoe box from a collection of shoes that would
make Imelda Marcos green, she opens it and begins to list out the
items) Money, safe deposit keys to accounts around the US. The tags on
the keys say what name it is under and what is in the box. (There are
about twenty keys in the box) Lucky made this up as a joke. I told him
how impressed you were with "Anya's." (She hands him an envelope.)
Kris: (opens up the envelope sees a drivers license, social security
card and passport. All with his face on them) Oh My God!
Lu: I think that Lucky thought it was funny you would think he should
be working for the Witness Protection Program. Welcome to the Spencer's
Witness Protection Program. Those papers should work for you as long as
no one is looking for a forgery. The only papers that Staci has are as
Anya Kates. (Kris winces) It isn't as bad as you think. No one ever
told Stefan or Nik the alias last name. Nik was too angry about Staci
working at the club so nobody gave him any of the details. Come on.
Time's up.

Staci's Room:
Laura: So from now on you are Anya Kates for real, Baby. If anyone
calls you anything else you keep walking-- don't even pause. Tell me if
you think you are being followed or if something doesn't feel right.
Staci: Gram, this whole thing feels wrong.
Laura: I know, baby. I hate it too. But right now I hate the idea of
you in Greece and me staying here even worse.
Staci: You could come to Greece with me.
Laura: Staci, I hate Greece. I always have. When I lived there
before, your grandfather made it bearable for me. I think the only way
they'd get me back on that island is to bury me there.
Staci: Yuck.
Laura: (trying harder to hide her distress, smiles slightly) Exactly.
(Lu and Kris arrive. ) Everyone ready to go?
Staci: I know we have to, but I hate leaving without saying good bye.
Laura: We'll call later. Staci, take Kris's bag; will you? All he has
to carry this leg of the trip is that pistol.
Staci: (grimacing) I really hate those things.
Laura: I know you do, Baby. (Going over to Lu) Don't lie for me, Lu.
All I'm asking for is a head start.
Lu: I'll wait until they come looking for me. (Embracing her mother,
she squeezes really hard) I love you, so much. I wish I was going too.
Laura: (framing her daughter's face) I love you too. I'll call.
Probably to the warehouse. One of us has to be the homebase. Otherwise
how will I know when all the trouble is over? I doubt Stefan will put
it on the front page of the paper. Remind Lucky that coming after me
will put all of us in the crosshairs. (She kisses Lu and hugs her)
Keep Nik and your Daddy from doing anything else stupid. (Turning away
she goes to the secret passage and opens it going first she is followed
by Staci and Kris. Lu closes the passage behind them. Wiping away the
tears that just don't seem to stop, she goes to her sewing room and
locks herself in)

Hours later. The door is now unlocked to the sewing room. The only
sound that can be heard is the rhythmic slide of the shuttle cock as it
passes through threads. Lu has worked steadily on this project since
regaining her composure. "Soon," she thinks to herself. "Soon they
will come." As if she had called there is voice at the door.
Stefan: Angel, I've been looking for your mother. Do you know where
she is?
Lu: (Not turning from her work) Gone.
Nik: What do you mean gone?
Stefan: (turns and swiftly returns to the room he shares with his wife.
Looking around, he sees the spaces of missing items: pictures, clothes--
that damn threadbare suitcase. He yells from the depths of his soul.)
NO! LASHA WHY? WHY! (Sagging on to the bed as if his feet can no longer
hold him he clutches the nightgown she'd worn the night before. Nik had
followed Stefan and comes to the realization that his mother had not
taken a quick trip into town. Lu trailed after them waiting for the
inevitable questions)
Nik: (with a simmering anger in his voice) Where is she?
Lu: I don't know.
Nik: (grimly) Lucky knows. (He leaves; Lu makes no effort to stop him.
Lucky had to find sometime about Laura. After Nik leaves, she tells
Stefan.)
Lu: Lucky doesn't know anything either. She didn't want to start the
feud again.
Stefan: Where is Staci?
Lu: With Mom.
Stefan: Why Angel? Why did she leave?
Lu: You don't even get it; do you, Daddy? Let me clarify it for you.
If you and Nik decide that I'll be safer in Greece and aren't going to
give me any choice in the matter. You'll never see me again; do you
understand? And if you do come after me, I'll escape again and again
until you kill me; do you understand?
Stefan: Brooke.
Lu: Yes, Brooke. Why would Mother be upset by a woman impregnated by a
Cassadine being kidnaped and held hostage on an island where no one
speaks the same language as she does? (Stefan pales) You know, if it
had just been Nik she probably would beat herself up about how she
wasn't there when he grew up and then tried to get him to bring her back
to her family. But you supported him. You told her Brooke was carrying
your grandchild as if that made what he did okay. (Lu points to a place
on the floor) I found her sobbing on the floor. She said you knew. You
knew the consequences of Nik's actions but didn't stop him. Mom said
history was repeating itself and nothing changes. She was gone thirty
minutes later.
Stefan: Why didn't she come to me? Why didn't you?
Lu: Wrong question, Daddy. The question should be-- why didn't I go
with her?
