GH2017.73 Short Fuses

Wyndemere the next morning at the breakfast table. Nik radiates
contained fury that's recognized by all at the table. Everyone steps
lightly, eating quickly and leaving. Finally only Stefan and Laura
remain with Nik.
Stefan: I take it that your trip to see Brooke did not go well?
Nik: DO NOT MENTION THAT WOMAN'S NAME IN THIS HOUSE!
Laura: (muttering) well there's the first clue.
Nik:(tersely) Did you say something, Mother?
Laura: (falsely cheerful) Nope. I think I'll go see what Lu is up to.
(Laura leaves taking her tea with her. Stefan sighs.)
Stefan: (trying again) Nikolas, there is something you should know...
Nik: (dismissively) If it is about Brooke I don't want to hear it. I
don't have time for her games. Now can we discuss something
productive... like possibly who is behind the smear campaign that the
Herald is running? (Stefan sighs again.) If I'm boring you, I'll do it
myself.
Stefan: That won't be necessary. What have you learned so far?

A hotel suite near an arena. Mark taps gently on Brooke's door.
Mark: Brooke? Brooke, are you okay?
Brooke: It's open. (Mark takes in her tearstained cheeks and swollen
eyes.) How much did you hear yesterday? (Mark is silent) I take it
that means you heard it all.
Mark: The guy's an idiot, Brooke. But he'll come around.
Brooke: I don't care if he does. All I care about is that this is my
business-- nobody else's. I tell who I want, when I want-- not you.
Mark: (slightly hurt) I wouldn't do that, Brooke.
Brooke: (apologetically) I'd hoped not, but my judgment ain't that
great right now. I need some room to think before I tell my ma or the
rest of the family.
Mark: Look-- we'll handle it any way you want. I only have one
question and it's related to your safety. Are you planning on keeping
the baby?
Brooke: (looks at him in shock) Yeah, of course. I mean...
Mark: (interrupting, holding up a hand in a stopping motion) That's all
I have to know. Then you'll need to get that vitamin Rx filled. My son
was born with some problems because of lousy prenatal care; he's fine
now but.... If you're going to do this, then do it right. (He walks
out of the room.)

The Jacks' apartment. Georgie sits at the table her head is down while
she waits for the coffee to perk through the filter. Billy walks out
sliding on a robe over boxer style shorts as he enters the kitchen.
Billy: Did you get any sleep last night?
Georgie: I'm sorry if I kept you up.
Billy: It's not that; I just wonder what'll happen when you can't burn
the candle at both ends anymore or if Dad isn't around when you're
having another nightmare?
Georgie: You know, if it were ANY of your business I'd tell you.
Billy: (softly and clearly) People I love care about you. I think that
makes it my business.
Georgie: (sarcastically) Thanks but I think I have enough Daddies. It's
another one of those positions you're going to have to fill out an
application and leave it at the door. I'll notify you if there's a
vacancy.
Billy: My, my!You're being a snippy little thing this morning... I guess
I can forgive it; I see you haven't had your coffee or is it that
time...
Georgie: (with rising ire) You sanctimonious PIG, don't even finish that
sentence.
Cari: (entering as if on cue)Ding Ding Ding... and they both go to
separate corners and it's the end of round one... Anyone want an
omelette? I'm cooking.

Quartermaine Mansion: Carly and AJ are having a quiet breakfast before
each of them have to go to work.
AJ: Have you seen the front page yet?
Carly:(absently) No, since I have to work this morning I went straight
to the weather page.
AJ: (looking up curiously) What on earth are you talking about?
Carly: It may be an old wives' tale but things are scarier at the
hospital during a full moon. Seems like all the wackos come out.
Higher absenteeism, which means I always end up filling in somewhere.
(she shudders) The last full moon I spent in the ER; gees, you'd think
that it was Halloween or a biker's convention it was so strange and
weird. Why are you asking about the front page?
AJ: Yesterday was Staci Cassadine, that Carida Jacks and the shooting.
Today it's slap dash about blaming the Cassadines for the apartment
building blowing up.... lax security measures etc.
Carly:(protesting) But that's a lie. You ruled out negligence in your
press conference ages ago. Is there something going on?
AJ: That's what I'd like to know. This thing is quoting "sources high
up in the police department." If Garcia been withholding on me, I'll
have his head on a platter!
Carly:(tongue firmly in cheek) Don't hold back, Dear; tell me how you
really feel. According to AR, the FBI has come to town in the shape of
one Evan Scorpio.
AJ: EVAN?! Evan Scorpio, Mac's nephew? Emily's friend?
Carly: (nodding) That's the one; small world isn't it? I guess he might
have gotten picked cause he knows all the players. Now that Emily is
getting a divorce his timing is kinda handy.
AJ: A DIVORCE! When did this happen? Why wasn't I told?
Carly: (picking up the paper and starting to read an article.) AJ,
Tommy hasn't been around the house in days; rumors are running rampant
at GH. In fact, Tommy put in a change of address card to personnel.
AJ: Has Emily talked to you?
Carly: (shaking her head) We've been working on opposing schedules. She
should be home anytime. Look, if you want to drive in later so you can
talk to her, I can get a lift in with one of the bodyguards. (Suddenly
she straightens in her chair, dropping the paper beside her plate.) You
AREN'T going to do anything crazy are you? I mean-- I helped you get
back at Nik and Scott when you were in that mess with Gina but ....
AJ: ( his face flushes as he thinks of Emily being hurt, grinds his
teeth as he answers.) If he's hurt my baby sister, he's dead meat.
(Carly groans, closing her eyes.)
Carly: Me and my big mouth. Now I know why Em hasn't said anything.

Lu's workroom at Wyndemere. She paces back and forth barely pausing
as she makes a sharp turn and goes back the other direction.
Lu:(muttering under her breath) If I have to stay on this island much
longer, I swear I'm going to start talking to myself.
Laura: (from the door way where she had just arrived in time to hear the
last comment, smiles shaking her head) Darling, I hate to break this to
you but... you're already talking to yourself. And if I have to watch
you pace much longer, I'm going to get a headache.
Lu: Mom, I've got it BAD-- cabin fever. Everything I try to make-- the
colors get all muddy; nothing is working. Mr. Gregory has been calling;
he wants to get another waterfront project going. He's got a building
picked out, two of them actually, and he wants me to take a look at them
and decide which one to do first. He wants the next project completed
before next school term so his daughter will have a safe place to live.
SAFE! As if I'm a good judge of safe! I'm living here in a blasted
cage. Dad can go out when he wants, Nik comes and goes as he pleases.
Lucky never stays in one place long enough that it's a damn good thing
he has a cell phone or I'd NEVER be able to track him down. It's just
not FAIR; I've got to get the HELL out of here before I go totally
insane! I'm even missing the regulars down at the club and I never
thought I'd say that about those old gambling, gossipy reprobates.
Georgie is doing some kind of Mata Hari thing where she is tearing all
OVER town running errands for everyone. Brooke is wowing them in a
different city EVERY night and here I am pacing like a critter in a
kennel. GET ME OUT OF HERE!
Laura: Baby, take a breath! (Lu stops in mid stride and takes a heaving
breath in. Slowly she lets it out and then takes another.) Now what do
you want to do?
Lu: (almost crooning) A shift at the club and pick one of the
buildings...if I could do that I could do most of the design work here.
And six to eight hours of the regulars would give me a fix that would
last a good long time. Go see Emily; have a latte in the mall while man
watching and shoe shopping. Drive out to the lighthouse in a
convertible with the top down and when I get there feed the ducks.
Laura: (laughing) I'm surprised you lasted as long as you did. You'll
have a couple more regulars at the club cause you'll have some
bodyguards with you. You can pick out the building as long as no one
knows when you're going to do it, including Mr. Gregory. He should have
sent you the addresses already. If you're going to see Emily, I want to
go too. I haven't seen Carly in a million years and she's the only one
that can keep track of what your brother's really up to. The mall and
the convertible might have to wait.
Lu: I can be ready in 20 minutes or less.
Laura: Me too. Let's get out of here before you or Nik explode.
Lu: Yeah, he's kind of been in a mood; hasn't he?

ELQ corporate office. Dylan Quartermaine has pulled an all-nighter but
finally there are results. Going back through the phone logs he's
discovered a pattern of calls both domestic and international that
corresponded with the known players. Taking a shot, he calls the local
number but receives a disconnect message.
Dylan: Damn, that would have been too easy. Oh well at least we've
ID'ed where the call is coming from within the company.
Jason: Who the hell are you talking to?
Dylan: I found the extension that the calls were being made from. If
we put surveillance on the extension then we should know who our snitch
is.
Jason: (grimaces) Putting surveillance on our own people rubs me the
wrong way.
Dylan: Right... you'd rather do a personal interview with them and then
break their knee caps if they've betrayed you.
Jason: Not on ELQ business. Besides we have excellent medical. So the
extension has been identified but not the caller.
Dylan: Right. A few fiber optics and we'll know who uses that phone.
Jason: Fiber optics?
Dylan: Yeah, it's what Stefan has the warehouse wired with. He can see
everything in every corridor and it wouldn't surprise me if he has Lu's
workroom there wired as well. The strands are so thin that they're
almost undetectable and having them installed won't cause any disruption
or mess that might be suspicious.
Jason: ( looking at Dylan curiously.) You're into this
stuff.
Dylan: Considering I spent the first nights in my new home tracking down
wires and making sure that Cassadine wasn't bugging my apartment-- let's
just say I'm familiar with it.
Jason: (grunting as he looks at the paperwork that Dylan has
highlighted.) Good. Then you handle it. Give this information to
Cassadine; he'll get it to our WSB contact. I have to go out of town.
(Dylan grimaces) You have a problem with that?
Dylan: Why don't you just tell me who the WSB contact is, and I'll
take the phone logs to him.
Jason: (with a small cold smile) Sexist assumption. Watch it or
Justus'll think you're a lawsuit waitin' to happen. And I bet you think
I hired my housekeeper 'cause she bakes great cookies?
Dylan: (shocked) It's a woman? Tell me who it is?
Jason: I didn't say that. And no. The contact decides who knows. If
you're going to be brought in, then you'll be contacted. Take the
information to Cassadine. Is there a problem?
Dylan: Let's just say that I don't exactly get along with Stefan
Cassadine; we have a history. I tried to let bygones be bygones and
then he sent me on that wild goose chase that almost had me missing
Gram's birthday.
Jason: Nobody but family gets along with Stefan Cassadine and even some
of them have tried to shorten his days. If you can't do what I need you
to do, then I'll find someone who will.
Dylan: I'll get it done. I just want to know how long I'm going to be
in the dog house?
Jason: You aren't in the dog house. Why would you feel that way? I'll
be gone for less than 24 hours. If something comes up while I'm gone,
use your judgment. Government st...uff goes to Justus, handle what you
can handle correctly and all else call me. ( Jason stalks off; leaving
Dylan watching him in amazement.)
Justus: (who was walking off the elevator and down the corridor in time
to hear the last comment before Jason left, cocks his head as he watches
Dylan's face in amusement.) I just love the expression on anyone's face
that has to spend any amount of time with our cousin.
Dylan: (shaking his head ) I don't know what to make of that guy. And
what did he mean about his housekeeper?
Justus: Look-- here's a hint about Jason. What he says-- he means.
You're not in the doghouse. If you were, you'd wish you were dead
rather than just feel like you been hit by a truck. And a word of
warning about Mrs. Landers... in addition to making a fabulous macadamia
chocolate chip cookies, she could kill you in about a dozen different
ways if she took the notion.
Dylan:(shocked) He has a psycho as a housekeeper?
Justus: No, a highly trained, loyal housekeeper who'd do ANYTHING for
the Morgans. I think he believes you underestimate women. (Justus
shakes his head) That's a flaw you'll need to work on. Although how
you got it is a mystery to me...

Author's Note

The following chapter I think explains a lot and may introduce a new character. (maybe a new love interest...gees that would be a mess wouldn't it!) for those of you who don't remember go to chapter 44 Musical Chairs. Here it is....
''previously on general hospital 2017....''
Ivan Petrovic is the leader of the Russian Mob back in Russia. He
has been causing problems for the Russian branch of the Cassadine
Foundation. He's got this purity thing going on and has been bombing the
homes and businesses of minorities. Homes and businesses that may have
been funded by Cassadine. He was also pictured getting a cache of
weapons off one of the ELQ tankers which got Jason in a twist. Because
no one is allowed to use ELQ for illegal activities. Now a couple of
chapters ago we discovered that Jason has ties to the American branch of
the Russian Mob-- this guy ain't no gummy bear mobster.

GH2017.74 In The Old Country

Georgie and Jason arrive in front of a modest brick house in an
expensive and exclusive neighborhood in Brighton. The limo pulls to the
front and Jason offers Georgie his hand as he exits the vehicle.
Georgie: I really appreciate you getting me out of the Warehouse
today. If I had to spend another moment with Jerry's son, I would've
screamed.
Jason: (shrugs) Kind of a tangled web there: Jerry Jacks and Jax's dead
wife procreating. I guess some family trees don't have that many
branches.
Georgie: (looking at him and then bursting out laughing) Oh you and I
don't spend enough time together! You have a unique way of keeping
things in perspective. When are you going to ease up on Jerry? He's
really a great guy.
Jason: When this is all over and I find that J&J hasn't made a move,
then I'll think about it. I know he's been there for you. But his
brother is bad news.
Georgie:(scolding) His brother is yesterday's news. Sooner or later you
have to let go of things.
Jason: Why? ( Jason is distracted as a dark haired man in his early
thirties comes out of the house to greet him. They shake hands and then
Jason allows himself to be pulled into a manly embrace where the other
man slaps him on the back. As soon as is polite, Jason pulls back.)
Dimitri, This is my wife's cousin, Georgie. She and I don't get out
often enough. When she found out that I was visiting some Russian...
associates, she insisted on coming along.
Georgie: (smiling politely) I speak a little Russian but I never get
enough practice.
Jason: She' being modest. Georgie's fluent in more than a couple of
languages. Are the others here yet?
Dimitri: (nodding) As soon as I got your message. This meeting was not
unexpected. The business in Port Charles ... very unfortunate.
Jason: I'd just as soon say what I got to say only once. (Dimitri
nods.)
Dimitri: This way then. (He escorts Jason and Georgie into the house)
Your cousin can wait here until after our business is completed.
Jason: No. This meeting isn't about normal business but a single issue
about which there'll be no misunderstandings. Georgie will insure there
are no miscommunications.
Dimitri: (frowning) This is very unusual.
Jason: It's my problem; let me worry about it. (They enter a room where
two old men already sit. Seeing Georgie, they rise politely but say
nothing-- instead wait for Jason to speak.) Leon, Olaf-- this is my
cousin, Georgie; she speaks Russian. She's here to make sure there are
no misunderstandings. Georgie isn't involved with my business and it'd
be best if she were not involved in yours.
Leon: (In heavily accented English.) Jasoon, if it's best she not be
involved, then why is she here? No disrespect, young lady, but this is
the business of men.
Georgie: (smiles politely, looking like the young college student she
was until a few months ago, answers in Russian) Not when it involves the
attempted kidnapping of a child; then it's everyone's business.
(quickly she tells Jason what she said)
Jason: Agreed. But that's not what I'm here to discuss. Shall we get
started? (all take their seats.) I have made it more than clear
throughout our association that what happens in Port Charles goes
through me. If I had been consulted as our...alliance demanded, I would
have been able to make clear to you that Gina Williams and her family
including her daughter are not to be touched. She was as a sister to
Sonny Corinthos and any insult to her is an insult to me.
Olaf: (dismayed realizing at the mention of Sonny's name that this
problem wasn't going to go away easily) This was not known to us! But
more than that, we were unaware of the attempt that was planned. Most
unfortunate.
Jason: (Nodding then drawls) Yeah, it's a bummer. It sounds as if you
have an internal problem within your organization. Petrovic doesn't
know how to follow the chain of command. He evidently didn't consult
you and sure as hell didn't consult me. He steps foot on American soil
and quite frankly-- he'll never leave again. Even without this current
situation. He was using ELQ, MY COMPANY, for illegal weapons deals.
He's brought the feds down on my head. I want to know how long it's
going to take you to educate this guy?
Leon: We will ,of course, deal with Petrovic. You understand of
course, that he is in Russia and unfamiliar with our customs here in
America?
Jason: (a single finger used for emphasis against the hard wood table)
Here's what I understand, the cops in PC have one of the shooters in
custody. The FBI and WSB are already involved. They're going to start
crawling up my ass with a microscope because of our association and
Petrovic's guns cache. And they ARE going to get information from the
guy in custody. Count on it.
Georgie: (calmly interjecting) Sergey's already started naming all the
people he met in Florida Soon he'll start naming the guys back in
Russia. He has to in order to get a new face and a new life here in the
United States. Such a sweet man but so depressed really.
Dimitri: (curious) How do you know this?!
Georgie: I'm a nurse at the hospital he was brought to. I translated
the initial interview between him and the District Attorney. It's going
to be quite a feather in Ms. Garcia's cap when she takes down the
so-called "Russian Mob". She might make the cover of Time or Newsweek.
And the international ramifications will really be a coup. Did you know
that her husband is the police commissioner in Port Charles? This looks
really good for him too.
Jason: These idiots may not have known to contact you before
proceeding, but the people in Florida and Cuba should have and deserve
to have their butts in a sling over it. They drew outside the lines and
deserve what they get. (Dimitri nods slowly, clearly thinking hard on
the situation) And Petrovic has disrespected all of us and the work
that we've been doing to get money back into Russia. (Leon glances over
at Georgie quickly, uncomfortable with the change in subject.) Now
that's all going to have to go on hold until things cool off. This
error is going to cost you millions! I can't be associated with an
investigation that IS going to lead back to you.
Dimitri: (looking at the two older men that nod once to him before he
speaks.) The investigation will not lead to us. The matter will be
resolved within days.
Jason: Good. (He rises offering Georgie his hand as he does so.)
Thanks to this mess, my phones are in all likelihood bugged.
Olaf: We will use a reliable and discrete messenger. The situation
with Cassadine must also be resolved. You will assist us with this, da?
Jason: (looking over at Georgie frowning slightly) The same person that
screwed you, screwed the Cassadine. I'd say that containing him will go
a long way toward resolving the issues that you have with Cassadine.
First one then the next. (putting a hand at the small of Georgie's
back, he politely exits the room. Dimitri rises to follow. Once
outside, Georgie climbs into the limo while Jason pauses to talk to
Dimitri who lights up a cigarette.)
Dimitri: Your cousin is well informed.
Jason: (matter-of-factly) That's 'cause she's a cop.
Dimitri: (pausing in taking a drag) What?! YOUR cop right?
Jason: (shaking his head) Not particularly.
Dimitri: How do you know she can be trusted?
Jason: I don't speak of things she doesn't need to hear. Georgie is
all about loyalty: family first, then the job. But she's also about
expediency, Georgie wants things done now. When I told her that perhaps
you could eliminate the problem... Georgie won't stand in your way.
Petrovic is a thorn in her side as well, not only because of the family,
but also because of the job. The only thing that shouldn't have been
mentioned was Cassadine's name.
Dimitri: (taken aback) Why?
Jason: She's got way more loyalty to him than she has to you, maybe
even to me.
Dimitri:(shocked) Nikolas Stavrovich ?!
Jason: Nah, the old man-- Stefan, for some reason, she actually likes
him and it appears to be reciprocal.
Dimitri: ( his gaze focused on the limo's open back door and a slim
length of leg that is revealed.) Then she is in a minority. He is a man
few know let alone... like. So if I did Cassadine a favor she'd
appreciate it?
Jason: You're doing yourself a favor by taking out Petrovic; he's a
racist, loose cannon-- that's bad for business. Why do you want favors
from Georgie?
Dimitri: (dodging the question slightly) She's under your protection?
Jason: I wouldn't have brought her today if she wasn't. Like Gina,
she's family. But Georgie can take care of herself. Why?
Dimitri: She is a beautiful woman and seems...skilled.
Jason: (laughing) She's more than you can handle. (He walks down the
steps and into the waiting limo that pulls smoothly from the curb as the
door shuts.)
Dimitri: Perhaps...perhaps not. (finishing his cigarette, Dimitri
crushes it out in the ashtray by the door and goes back inside to the
men that are waiting his report.)

Leon: Well... what does Mr Morgan have to say?
Dimitri: What he didn't say was clear. Petrovic has to go. He has
made us look like fools and endangers our association with a powerful
and needed ally.
Olaf: Then Morgan will not deal with us?
Dimitri: He called Petrovic "a racist loose cannon and bad for
business". Morgan has never been touched by anything that he does
because he's smart. He recognizes that he's in business for profit and
deals with those that feel the same. He chooses which risks are
worthy. Following his lead has been profitable to us. Petrovic's
insanity endangers that profit. Morgan will cut us out in a heartbeat.
Leon: We need him --at least for now. He was instrumental in setting
up our casinos in Cuba. And once they opened, he made sure there were
customers from his operations in Puerto Rico and along the eastern
seaboard with the "gambling junkets" he arranged.
Olaf: He distributes our products so that they are not subject to the
taxes and tariffs of either the American or Russian governments. If
they have to go through the legitimate channels back home
our people will realize less than a third of the money they do now.
Leon: This is the first year people from the old country have had
enough money to actually take a vacation to our casinos. It's still too
soon.
Olaf: Morgan is not being unreasonable. Petrovic's slime. His vendetta
against the minorities has brought the Cassadine down on us back home
and now will cost millions waiting for the government to ease off on
Morgan. If the authorities back in Russia...
Dimitri: (shaking his head) That can be nipped in the bud. The
authorities are not the real concern but the security forces of the
Cassadine Foundation are. If they get to Petrovic before we do...
Cassadine has no reason to keep this quiet; this was our blunder. It
isn't his handiwork and cleaning it up will make him look even more a
hero of the people.
Leon:(grumbles in disgust) Royalist pig. The communists were bad
enough; I don't want another monarchy.
Dimitri: Agreed-- Cassadine's loyalty to "his people" in Russia smacks
of condescension and royal aspirations but so far...nothing. Does
Cassadine realize that we have been profiting from the work that he was
doing? That the businesses he starts send half of their output through
legal channels and the rest comes to us for distribution? That the
construction company that builds the houses and factories for "his
workers" is ours and launders our money even as it takes his?
Olaf: It has been... fun watching him work so hard while we profit.
Dimitri: The community has been what has profited as well. They have
Cassadine so they look legitimate and they have us to make some real
money on the side. Damn Petrovic; he threatens it all! (The trio falls
silent each contemplating the obvious dilemma before them.)
Leon: (sighing) I'll go. Petrovic is my problem. And I will choose
another to lead our offices there when I am done.
Dimitri:(musing) I think I should go as well.
Olaf: Why? Leon and I were born in the old country. We came here to
make our fortunes and send the profits back to Russia where our families
were starving as the communists collapsed and the first grand
experiments in democracy were fumbling. You are this generation. Your
home is here; you were born here, educated here. Your father , God rest
his soul, wanted a better life for you . He wanted you to be an
American.
Dimitri: And I'm very proud of what you and my father accomplished. I
think there needs to be closer ties between the branches of the
organization so that misunderstandings such as this don't happen again.
The person that takes charge over there needs to understand the economic
consequences of rash action.
Leon: ( his eyes narrowing as he contemplates Dimitri) This is about
the girl? Isn't it? What you say is all true but if you solve this
problem that she cares so much about...
Dimitri: (nodding) Then she will be in my debt. And she has powerful
friends. Not just Morgan but also Cassadine-- Stefan Cassadine.

Meanwhile in the limo...
Georgie: (resting her head back against the plush upholstery) That
seemed to go well. So they are going to contain Petrovic. That's a
start.
Jason: (evenly) Petrovic will be dead within 2 days.
Georgie: (a little shocked) What!
Jason: I'd planned on talking to them when I first found out about the
weapons but I had to be sure first that they weren't in on it.
Georgie: (incredulously) Oh so they draw the line at chemical weapons
and guns.
Jason: Georgie, Please the sarcasm is unwarranted. You and I both know
that if you were in a room with Ivan Petrovic that you'd take him out.
They are beheading a snake that we both want dead. I don't have a
problem with that.
Georgie: And if it isn't a snake, but a hydra and the problem grows
threefold?
Jason: I've never been one to sit on my ass waiting for things to
happen. If I had known from the time the pictures were taken of the ELQ
Lila that she was being used for weapons smuggling to Petrovic then
Staci, Cari and Gina would never have been shot at. Because he'd have
been gone. The time you and Jerry spent dicking around coming up with
ridiculous cover stories and my "cooperating" so that you could set your
little trap was the time that Petrovic used to plan a kidnaping.
Georgie:(snapping back) You and I both know there's someone on this side
of the water tipping them off. That "little trap" would have worked.
Jason: Maybe and we knew before the trap was laid that there was a
snitch somewhere. I should have followed my first instincts.
Georgie: (sighing) It's done now. And let's face it, we were both a
little busy with personal issues. How's Anna?
Jason: Doing great. Maxie's impressed with her work and Gina says that
counseling will only be as needed now.
Georgie: That's great. I'm glad.
Jason: (changing the subject abruptly) Dimitri will be contacting you
within 2 days....probably at the hospital.
Georgie: Why?!
Jason: Can you think of any other "discrete and reliable messengers"
who won't draw police attention in Port Charles that we have in common?
Besides, I think that Dimitri has the hots for you. I caught him
checkin' out your legs.
Georgie: (starts blushing) How in the hell am I going to explain this
one?
Jason: I'd like to know that too. Who do you think is going to make
the biggest stink? Probably not Mac-- he kinda got used to that
"gangster thing" when Robin and I first started dating.
Georgie: You're having way too much fun with this.
