GH2017.26 Man of My Dreams

The evening after chapter 25. Port Charles Airport. Jason Morgan waits at
the doors to customs. It seems like hours since the plane landed....His
wife as well as Emily Hardy and Lucky Spencer were aboard. He stands
impatiently as the doors open and his wife finally comes through the doors
and into his arms...
Jason: I missed you.
Robin: I missed you more.
Jason: how did you end up being the first one through the doors?
Robin: Lucky is claiming my luggage. I hope they don't search it or he is
going to have some embarrassing explaining to do. All that women's lingerie
and the kid's presents. How are the children?
Jason: Gina is with them. She wants to talk to us after they are in bed .
Robin: Where is Tom... isn't he here to pick up Em?
Jason: No. There is something going on there. But he said he would meet
us over at the house. So despite your efforts we will have to wait for
Lucky and Em. Come and Sit down. (Jason nods to Mark who steps up to watch
the doors for Lucky and Em as the couple walk hand in hand to an empty gate
to sit down.)
Robin: Jason , how is she?
Jason: Better than us it seems. She just blurted it out to Stone... so
matter of fact. Gina says that is good . No real problems with self image,
self confidence what ever. But he took something away from her something we
can never get back.
Robin: (embracing her husband) But she has us and we'll be there for her.
Gina is one of the best in the field. How is Stone... is he in counseling
too? It could not have been easy for him either to hear that?
Jason: Not that I know of. Things are still up in the air for him legally
because he hit that thing.
Robin: Jason, you aren't going to do anything crazy are you?
Jason: (looking away) Alexis and Keesha are working on the situation.
Once Stone is in the clear then... (he shrugs)
Robin: Just remember that I love you and We need you. Let the system take
care of Saunders.
Jason: Nobody messes with our family.
Robin: ( knowing her husband: frames his face with her hands forcing him to
look at her) It is more important for Anna to have her father than it is
for this guy to be dead. ( Just then Lucky and Emily arrive with Mark)
Lucky: ( avoiding the topic that is in everyone's thoughts) I thought we
were giving you a head start back to the house?
Jason: Tom is meeting us back there so we stuck around to give you a lift.
the kids have been working hard on a welcome home party so we had better get
home before Gina tries to make them go to bed.
Emily: She always was the brave one.
Lucky: I don't know if I would call that Brave...marrying Nik now that was
brave. Marrying in to the Quartermaines now that was brave ( Emily elbow
him in the side)
Emily : Hey I resemble that last remark.
Lucky: But you were adopted by that Clan
Jason: I wasn't
Lucky: I rest my case.

They climb in to the waiting limo. Mark takes the shotgun position by the
driver taking his sidearm from the glove box and putting it back on. In the
back Emily is fixing soft drinks when Lucky reaches into his pocket and
removes a cigar.
Emily: No way. You are not smoking that thing in here.
Lucky: Come on I didn't have one on the plane. Hey Mark...drop me off at
the club I need to find out if my sister has trashed the place yet.
Emily : You didn't have a cigar on the plane because you would have been
ejected out a hatch. (she snatches the cigar away before he can light it.)
Robin: How did you two avoid getting married?
Emily: (making a face at lucky) Well he is scarcely the man of my dreams.

Meanwhile at the Girls' Apartment: Georgie unlocks the door and switches on
the light. Taking a deep breath she collapses against the door. She pulls
off the stocking cap that is covering her sweaty hair and kicks off her shoes.
Georgie: Hello is anybody home?
no answer . Georgie goes off to the showers dropping her running gear as
she goes. muscles still screaming from a run that had little to do with
exercise and everything to do with the thoughts running through her head
since Saunders arraignment that morning. Putting the shower on as hot as
she can stand she allows the water to sluice away the nervous energy with
the sweat and grime of her run. After the shower she puts on her really
ugly thick socks and flannel night shirt and goes to the kitchen where she
pours herself a brandy. Taking a deep swallow she feels the burn in the
back of her throat, then the heat as the potent liquor hits her stomach.
Walking back to her bedroom she pauses at the answering machine where the
light is blinking. She hesitates and then retrieves her messages.
Lu: ( Sounds of the club in the background) Hey girlfriend haven't seen
much of you lately. We should talk. We seem to keep missing each other. I
am working late tonight. Come by if you get a chance...First Drink is on
me? * beep*
Brooke: Georgie, I was called into work at the club in Rochester so I won't
be home until really late...or is it early. oh well, I guess you must have
forgotten about going to the movies tonight anyway. *beep*
Maxie: Georgie, I was wondering how things went this morning- (Georgie
forwards to the next message) *beep*
Alexis: Georgie, you didn't return my call from last night. We need to
talk about the next step. Oh by the way, My cousin is working buying the
television station but it will take some time. I found out that Veronica
Bowles has been sniffing around. She knows better to call me but she may
try to get a comment from you. Someone in the PCPD or the DA's office
leaked her the police reports that name you as a former victim of Saunders.
Just stonewall her or refer her to me I'll handle her. *beep*
Veronica Bowles: Ms Jones, this is Veronica Bowles, of WVPC, I would like
to arrange an interview regarding the Bruce Saunders situation. ( Georgie
cuts off the message) * you have no more messages*
Georgie's hands tighten around the glass of brandy the endless run and the
shower undone by a few minutes worth of calls. Lifting the snifter she
chugs the liquor hoping for another kind of oblivion. Going to her room she
leaves the door open and the hall light on. She lays down exhaustion from
days without sleep and the brandy allowing her to sleep for awhile. But
with sleep comes dreams. Dreams with a new face to go on an old nightmare.
The face of the man she had seen sleeping in his home and then again that
morning at his arraignment. As she feels his hands on her, she wakes
screaming. Sitting up, she looks to the light in the hallway taking
breathes as she reorients herself. hugging her knees she tries to work
through the fear and then lays down again. As soon as her eyes close, her
heart starts pounding, her mind racing-- the darkness begins to close in
bringing the monster again. Giving up again any chance of sleep, she rises.
