GH2017.20 Georgie

The club: Late afternoon there are few customers...Brooke sits off in the
family table listening to a headset and writing furiously. Mike sits across
from her drinking coffee and doing book work each in their own space. Lu is
stocking the bar when her brother Nik enters.
Lu: Hi, Nik!
Nik: We need to talk. NOW.
Lu: ( Looking at him curiously) Okay sounds as if it needs to be private?
Nik: Yes.
Lu: ( shrugs her shoulders, making eye contact with Mike she indicates that
he should cover the bar and leads Nik to the office where Staci sits doing
homework) Baby, Your Dad needs to talk to me; could you help Mike up front?
Staci: ( takes one look at her father and decided that descretion is the
better part of valor...undoing her barrette she slides into her character)
Sure, no problem.
Lu: Nik, you are scaring me; what is going on? Why are you so upset?
Nik: I have just been to see Alexis.
Lu: Staci told me that Stone had been in a fight and that there might be
charges.
Nik: Evidently you know the victim ( he watches her intently); he was your
second grade teacher, Bruce Saunders.
Lu: why would Stone beat up a teacher?
Nik: Lu, I need to know. If anyone, any man had put his hands on you-- you
would have told me?
Lu: Nik, what are you asking?
Nik: Were you ever molested by Bruce Saunders?
Lu: NO! God No. Nik, is that what Stone got in a fight about? Wait a
minute ; Lucky went out of town to get Robin. Stone babysits Robin's kids.
Anna! Did something happen to Anna?
Nik: Unfortunately yes. She is evidently however not Saunders first
victim. Alexis has already identified someone from your class. So I need
an answer-- if someone had ever touched you , you would have told me?
Lu: You, Lucky or Daddy. Nik, it never happened for goodness sake think!
My bodyguard was the room mother. I was never alone with any of my
teachers; put it out of your head. Besides thinking back ... Saunders
never liked me, Georgie was his pet. ( She stares at Nik who says
nothing) I think I am going to throw up. Are you not telling me that he
abused Georgie?
Nik: I don't know. I didn't recognize the picture. Alexis did not mention
a name.
Lu: ( muttering to herself) It explains so much- now it all makes sense...
Nik: What?
Lu: She cant stand being touched, that isnt quite right, she doesn't like
to be surprised she practically came out of her skin when someone played
"guess who" with her .
Nik: ( thinking back to the night when Georgie held a gun to his throat)
So if someone grabbed her hand?
Lu: They would be lucky to get their's back in one piece. Nik , this is
so sick; you have to be wrong. Georgie is my best friend. She has always
been there for me through school we were inseprable. (Lu sits down and
thinks back to those far back days, chewing her lip, she recalls more and
more) Nik, there were times when I thnk he tried to get me alone-- sent the
bodyguard on an errand but Georgie would spill something or break something.
She was distracting him.
Nik: Well, then I owe her. ( placing his hands on her shoulders he leans
in to kiss her on the forehead) The whole family does, princess.
Lu: What happens now?
Nik: I need more information. Stone has to be my first priority.

The Door that leads into Alexis Hardy's suite of offices. georgie paces
briefly giving herselfd a self pep talk before entering and telling the
receptionist she has an appointmetn with Ms Hardy. As she is announced,
Georgie is quickly shown back to the soothing and quiet office of Alexis
Hardy. The stacks of papers and yearbooks have been moved to the credenza
so that Alexis can give Georgie her full attention.
Alexis: Ms Jones, I appreciate you coming.
Georgie: Mrs. Hardy, it seems I have known you forever through Tom and
Leslie Lu. This is going to be hard enough can we make it first names, please?
Alexis ( smiling in understanding) Thank you, Georgie.
Georgie: Don't thank me. I feel awful. I feel like if I had told back
then this would never have happened. Maxie told me it was Anna Morgan. (
Alexis nods) Saunders must be slipping. He picked someone who would tell.
He also didn't do his homework about the Morgans; he has made a dangerous
enemy there.
Alexis: Jason is Stone's godfather. He was there all through my pregnancy
after my husband was killed. Stone thinks of Anna and Michael, as I dont'
know closer than cousins, almost like a little sister and brother. Anna
adores my son and evidently felt comfortable telling him what Saunders was
doing. I have to get saunders but legally otherwise I think that Stone or
Jason may end up in jail. Georgie, I am on a short time frame here.
Saunders has to be in jail before Robin gets back.
Georgie: ( smiling ironically) Do you really think that Jason Morgan is
waiting for his wife? He already has something in motion-- bet on it! I
was raised on stories about your first husband husband and Jason Morgan.
Mac wasn't one for fairy tales; he was more into cops, robbers and pirates.
Mom would probably kill him to this day if she knew the grusome stuff he'd
tell me for bedtime stories.
Alexis: I know you are right but I think it is in the planning stage if I
can just get things moving maybe Jason will let the system work...
Georgie: I think Saunders has claimed enough victims what can I do to help?
Alexis : Tell me everything you remember, anyone else he might have done
this to, and let me take it to the DA's office.
Georgie: That is why I am here.

Four hours later a door silently opens to a private hospital room in
General Hospital

Jerry: Hey Darlin'! ( looking at his partner he sees signs of strain and
carefully camoflaughed tear stains) Is everything okay? Did you have any
problems on the case?
Georgie: No everything is fine except you getting shot. that is not quite
true. The case is fine. I talked to Daddy and he said that the other team
picked up the ship no problem. As soon as you get out of here you can do
some of the leg work on the labels I took pictures of. Did you get in
touch with someone at ELQ about the ship?
Jerry: I tried, the bugger hung up on me!
Georgie ( laughing for the first time that day at Jerry's expression) Who
was it I'll "take care " of them for you.
Jerry: Jason Morgan, second in command over at ELQ resident trouble shooter
and evidently one to hold a grudge.
Georgie: ( her eyes growing sad again) Yes, to the grave. He has family
things going on right now; I don't think he will allow himself to be
distracted . I'll try to get over to see him.
Jerry: What in the Hell is going on ?
Georgie: (sighing) It will be in the papers soon enough. Are you sure you
don't want to take me to Bermda? ( jerry crosses his good arm in front of
him and from his posture it is clear that he would be crossing the other if
it wasn't in a sling) Okay, okay. When I was a little girl I was abused
by a teacher...he has evidently kept on doing it and his latest is Jason
Morgan's little girl. Jason's godson found out about it and attacked the
creep but didn't have time to kill him. I just finished talking to an
attorney who is trying to make sure that the only person going to Jail is
the creep and I am helping her. End of story. Needless to say Jason Morgan
has things to worry about.
Jerry: Oh Darlin' is that what has you so stressed out.
Georgie: I feel like I am in a loop. All I've done since I found about
this latest is tell over and over what happened before...I had kept it
buried for 15 years. Jerry , no one knew: not my mom or even daddy. Now it
is all coming up and I need a vacation only I am back here at the hospital
starting tomorrow. By the way, I am on your floor; it seems for as long as
you are in here. Wonder how that worked out?
Jerry : You are the wonder. And our vacation is coming. Margaritas in the
Bahamas, I promised and Jerry Jacks keeps his word! ( all of a sudden there
is the sound of footsteps coming down the hallway Georgie ducks behind the
door as it opens and Stefan Cassadine walks in with a chess board under his
arm and a bagged lunch in hand.
Stefan: Time for a rematch I brought you some cheese fries from my
daughter's club. How you can crave this junk I have no idea. (Stefan
senses that he and Jerry are not alone as he catches the wiff of a light
perfume, turning he sees the door to the room closing. He looks back at
Jerry questioningly.)
Jerry: I really appreciate the company. But don't think I am going to let
you win. ( taking the board he begins to set up the pieces ignoring the
question in Stefan's eyes.)

Spoon Island not quite an hour later. A ghost like figure in dark clothing
and cap moves toward wyndemere.
