GH2016.1: You Asked For It!

Scene opens in a private, luxury aircraft. Nik, Alexis,
Stefan and Laura are seated. Laura and Stefan are seated
next to each other. At the front of the cabin space is a
wall hanging with the Cassadine crest in Blue and Gold.

Alexis: You know if it wasn't for the power outage she would
still be alive.
Laura to Stefan: You didn't realize how true a statement you
made all those years ago when you said that she would live
for another twenty years just to spite us. (curled up
next to Stefan with her hand on his thigh)
Stefan: I am glad that you did not bring Staci.
Nik: She didn't know her great grandmother. I preferred it
that way.
Laura: So did I.
Nik: Gina offered to come and bring Staci. I didn't
explain my refusal. It'll probably be a "discussion" when
we get back to Port Charles. Are you two staying for
awhile?
Laura: For a little while. Lu just got back from Europe. I
want to touch base with her and find out how many broken
hearts she left behind. Your uncle and I expect you in
N.Y. next weekend. He and Dr. Collins have a joint show.
Your uncle's portraits and Kevin's abstracts.
Stefan: For some reason they just seem to work together.
Nik: I was surprised when you took up painting. I thought
that mom was giving you a gag gift when she gave you those
paints at my accession party. That it was something that
mom was making you try. I had no idea that you painted her
portrait all those years ago.
Stefan: She is still my favorite subject. ( brushing
Laura's hair off of her necklace)
Nik: Do you ever miss running things?
Stefan: Hell No. When I want some action I can always come
to you with a deal.
Nik:(with a sly grin) and incredibly lucrative too.
Laura : NO BUSINESS. You know I hate it when you two go
all Machiavellian.
Stefan : Fine. Fine, but that Microsoft deal was fun.
Alexis, how busy are you keeping him?
Alexis: He hates board meetings as much as you did. I
spend all my time flying around and sitting on boards and
gathering information for him. I hardly get to see Tom. I
guess I am lucky to have married such a patient man. Nik
when are you going to remarry and provide for the next
generation?

All eyes turn to Nik as the scene fades

The brownstone: A brown eyed blonde is seated by the phone
one leg is swinging to and fro.

Georgie: (on the phone) Daddy I have my degree and passed
all my nursing boards. I have applied to Amnesty
International, The International Red Cross and the World
Health Organization...depending on where I get hired I
should be able to get into any hot spot without
suspicion...Mom and Mac don't think anything about me going
to the firing range with them...Maxie knows what I am
doing but that is it. When should I know about my next
assignment? Oh...okay... well Maxie just walked in with
Lu. I'll let you talk to her

(Maxie picks up the phone while Georgie and Lu embrace)

Lu: Georgie, I want you to meet my friend Brooke. We met
each other in Italy.
Georgie: Oh my God, Brooke Ashton! I have your CD.
Lu: Was I the only one that had never heard of her?
Brooke:(with a Brooklyn accent) My album is just hitting
the charts in the US. So don't feel left out. Lucky
Spencer is going to be booking me some dates in Port
Charles. My ma and pop actually lived here back in the
90's. I am suppose to stay with my cousin Jason and his
wife Robin.
Georgie: Robin Morgan?
Brooke: yeah
Georgie: I work with her; she is a doctor at the hospital.
I hope you like children; Mike and Anna are sweet but into
everything.
Brooke: I know. I haven't seen them in ages but Robin
keeps me updated with pictures. There are tons of kids in
the Cerullo family; I am the oldest of five.
Georgie: Hope you had more than one bathroom! (turning to
Lu) How was Europe?
Lu: Fabulous. But real life started to call to me. Now
that I have graduated I want to get my own place.
Georgie: (laughing) Love to see you get that past Nik
Lu: (groaning) Don't remind me. Lucky has me managing one
of the clubs but Nik will price me right out of the
apartment market with his security demands.
Georgie: Unless you were splitting the rent two ways
Brooke: Or three...
All: Its a deal!!
Maxie: It sounds as if the three of you have formed an
unholy alliance. Who will warn Port Charles? Lu, Staci
told me that Nik is out of town for a funeral but he is
expected back tonight. I'd say you have four hours max to
get the deal done.
Lu: (Heading for the door) who is driving?
Brooke: (following) Who is Nik?
(Lu and Georgie laugh) Lu: don't worry I'll introduce you.

Meanwhile at GH in a corridor off of the second floor
nurses station.

Robin: Emily! When did you get back?
Emily: Shhh don't tell anyone. I haven't talked to Tom
yet. Come to my office with me so that I can call my
husband. (arm in arm they walk down the hall filling each
other in on news)
Emily (on phone) Tom, guess who?... Gosh we have a good
connection. (grinning over at Robin) Have you been taking
care of yourself? ... Not too much take out I hope?... I
was thinking that we could get together for dinner at
Lucky's tonight? (laughing she hangs up the phone) He hung
up on me. I figure you have less than 10 minutes before he
comes through that door.
Robin: You are both so cute. How do you do it?
Emily: You think that I am just looking for medicines in
the rainforest? (eyebrows lifting)
Robin: On another subject... Your cousin Brooke is in
town. Ned didn't know if you were going to be home so
she's staying with us.
Emily: Gosh, I haven't seen her since she was a baby!
Robin: Will we be disturbing you lovebirds if Jason and I
brought her to the club tonight?
Emily: That would be great. Just don't expect us to stay
long.
(Dr Thomas Hardy jr. rushes through the door sweeping his
wife off her feet and giving her a passionate kiss)
Robin: See you later. ( to the oblivious couple)

A knock on the door. The door is answered by a man in his
early forties, gray haired at the temples but all that is
noticed at first is the firm lines of his face and the
piercing blue eyes that are looking rather harried to his
visitors. He has a phone between shoulder and ear and a
child by the arm. As he releases the door he waves the
three girls in.

Jason: Brooke I was just about to call out the calvary,
who is with you? Lu and Georgie come on in. Let me take
care of this. (to the child) Anna, mind Mrs Landers and
stay away from the water unless Mom or I are with you. (
to the phone in a stern, terse voice) No Mark, you tell me
what you are suppose to do... Fine. If there are any
problems I will be at the club tonight. Use your head.
(Jason clicks for a dial tone and hits a preprogrammed
number) Yeah, this is Morgan, add two more to the dinner
reservation. (Jason throws down the phone and reaches out
to Brooke) Come here and give me a hug. God it seems like
yesterday that Sonny and I used to go and visit your Mom.
You turned out all right, Kid. How is your mom and Ned?
Brooke: Pop is headlining in Vegas this weekend. He and Ma
have their eye on a chain of radio stations out there. L&E
is growing by leaps and bounds. Ma wants to book some
international acts she saw while she was in Europe
visiting me.
Jason: That is Lois always looking for talent. You might
tell her when you call her tonight that Dara Jensen will be
more available since Keesha Quartermaine beat her in the
runoff election for District Attorney. Was there any
reason why you were running late?
Brooke:Besides running into these two? Yeah, I rented an
apartment. I am going to be in Port Charles for awhile
and Lu decided to get a place and it all seemed to fall
together...
Jason: Got it. But you tell Robin. She should be home any
minute. I made reservations at Lucky's for 30 minutes. I
don't know if I walk in with all these gorgeous women
Police Commissioner Garcia is going to think that I am
running women through Port Charles.
Robin: (walks through the door, throwing off coat, kicking
off shoes, kisses Jason) How much time have I got?
Jason: Reservation is for 30 minutes the girls are going
with us. The kids are with Mrs Landers. Anna decided to
stroll down by the lake solo today.
Robin: Handled?
Jason: (nodding) yeah but you might want to reinforce it.
Robin (walking away) 20 minutes to get ready 10 minutes to
get there... I can do this.
Jason: (to the girls) Why don't we go onto the back deck
while we are waiting for Robin?
Lu: It is so beautiful out here.
Jason: Monica Quartermaine gave Robin and me the old
boathouse and property as a wedding present. It has been
quite a project to get the house built. Hard to get any
work done with all the racket and contractors. ( Jason
checks the lock one the deck gate) The kid has figured out
this lock I am going to have to replace it.
Georgie: All you are doing is teaching her how to pick
harder locks. (Jason grins at Georgie and doesn't
respond.)

Robin joins them and together they exit the house climbing
into a sports utility vehicle with tinted windows and
bullet proof glass.
