| GH2010.8: OUTBACK KANGAROOS Alexis and Stone sit at a small table at the Outback. Stone slowly nurses a chocolate milkshake, looking bored, while Alexis goes over several files at once. Stone is blowing bubbles in his shake and playing with the straw. "Stone, please," Alexis scolds softly. "Mom, when are we going home?" Alexis pulls her glasses down slightly and looks over them at her son, "When I'm finished." Stone sighs loudly, rests his cheek on his fist and slurps his milkshake. He glances back towards the door. His eyes light up as he sees his godmother come in with Brad Quartermaine's mom. "Mom, look, it's Aunt Robin!" Alexis doesn't look up, "That's nice," she mumbles. Keesha goes over to a table while Robin approaches Alexis' table. Stone jumps up, "Hey Aunt Robin!" Robin ruffles his hair, "Hey yourself. Hello Alexis." Alexis puts down the brief she is working on. "Hi Robin. Care to join us?" Robin shakes her head, "No thanks. I'm here with Keesha. I just wanted to say hi. I'll see you both later, okay?" Stone flops back in his chair and sighs loudly, "I'll be here." Robin laughs as Alexis shakes her head and smiles. Robin waves briefly as she goes back to Keesha. Keesha nods towards Stone, "He looks more and more like his father every day." Robin nods, "Sonny would be so proud." After another awkward silence, Robin asks, "So, how is Bradley?" Keesha smiles, "He's good. Just started soccer practice. I think he's in the same league as Stone. AJ was supposed to pick him up and meet me with him later. What about Michael?" "He's awake before dawn every morning." "How come?" Robin shrugs, "I wish I knew." Changing subjects slightly, she adds, "So how's Alex? I haven't seen him lately." "He's keeping busy. He loves being police commissioner, although, I do think he envies Mac's PI work." Robin laughs, "Of course I'm sure it's not helping that Uncle Mac and Felicia try to lure him away at every turn." Someone's cell phone rings. Both women reach for their purses. Keesha's phone is the one ringing. "It's mine," she says. She opens it, "Hello." Her eyes bulge as she receives the message. "I'm on my way." She shuts the phone and stands up quickly. "I'm sorry Robin. Gotta go. Emergency." "Anything I can do to help?" Keesha shakes her head as she rushes out the door, "No. AJ and Brad were in a car accident," she calls out behind her. As Keesha hurries out, Bobbie comes in with her grandson, Anthony Roberts. They both sit at the bar. Bobbie orders Anthony a milkshake. Anthony looks around the room and waves at Stone. Stone waves back, then looks at his mother. "Hey Mom, AR just came in with his grandmother. I'm gonna go talk to him." Alexis nods without looking up, "Okay." Stone takes his milkshake and goes over to the bar and sits beside Anthony. "Hey AR." "Rock," Anthony replies. As the two boys start talking, Alexis doesn't notice as a middle aged man enters and walks over to her table. "Hello, Ms. Davis. I see the Cassadines still make you keep your lovely nose to the grindstone, even on a Saturday. Oh, that's right, you're family and that doesn't count." Alexis looks up at the newcomer. "Mr. Baldwin. I see you're still as obnoxious as ever." Stone looks back at the man talking to his mother. "Who is that guy?" Bobbie and Anthony look over at Scott talking to Alexis. A twinge of jealously strikes her. "Nobody important," Bobbie says. Robin walks over to the bar, and knowing the history between Scott and the Cassadines says softly to Bobbie, "Now that looks like trouble." Bobbie nods, "Robin, you could be right." Scott sits down where Stone was sitting previously, "So Alexis, may I call you Alexis? How is the family?" "I never invited you to sit down, and Ms. Davis or Mrs. Hardy will do nicely, thank you, Mr. Baldwin." Scott smiles ingratiatingly, "Oh come on, we're family too, you know." "I don't recall my marriage license requiring you and I to get along just because you and my husband are cousins." Scott puts his hand over his heart, "How you sting, Alexis." Alexis glares at him, but before she can say anything, she glances over towards the door. Nikolas was standing there frowning with his arms crossed. Alexis smiles as she quickly packs up her stuff, "Time's up, Mr. Baldwin. I'll send you a bill for wasting my time." As Alexis collects Stone and makes her way towards the door, Scott looks back as he feels the heat of Nikolas' stare stabbing into his back. |
